Win by Central Africa republic is a shock defeat to Nigeria by their modest opponents in Lagos. But they ensured there won’t be more upsets in Yaounde, which hosted their second meeting of a double-header because Central Africa’s stadium did not meet CAF’s criteria.

In the hotly-contested Group E, Mali and Uganda continued their race with narrows 1-0 wins over Kenya and Rwanda respectively.
Striker Ibrahima Kone scored Mali’s winner against Kenya 10 minutes after the restart and Fahad Bayo netted the decisive goal for Uganda midway through the first half.
Mali top the group on 10 points, two ahead of Uganda with two matches remaining. Kenya (two points) and Rwanda (1 point) are out of contention for the final two-legged playoff
