Six days after the winter transfer window closed in Russia, Premier League club FC Tambov have finally confirmed the signing of teenage Nigerian striker Akyam Fanen Joseph.
According to a press release published on the official website of Tambov, Joseph will initially play for FC Tambov II, who compete in the U20 Premier Liga.
The 19-year-old is represented by influential Ukrainian agent Dimitri Celuk, who used to look after Manchester City legend Yaya Toure and Nigeria national-teamer Dele Adeleye.
A product of Jim Liberty Soccer Academy Makurdi, he began his career in Europe with Belarusian club FK Slutsk.
During his time with the Vysheyshaya Liga side, he appeared in 12 official matches and provided three assists.
Joseph, who has been allocated the number 4 jersey, could make his competitive debut for Tambov II when they face Rubin Kazan this evening.
