Roy Keane says that he would happily let bygones be bygones with former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson if he receives an apology from the Scot.Roy Keane has revealed that he is prepared to end his feud with Sir Alex Ferguson – providing the former Manchester United boss apologises for ‘bad-mouthing’ him.

The duo have engaged in a series of verbal spats down the years, the most recent of which came in October after Keane heavily criticised the Scot in his book The Second Half.

The ex-United captain admits that he still feels aggrieved over his acrimonious departure from Old Trafford in 2005.

However, when asked if he would ever enjoy a pint with Ferguson, Keane told FourFourTwo: “Well, it would be a cup of tea. If Sir Alex apologises, then yes, I would.

“If Ferguson apologises I would be happy to move on… for Ferguson to bad-mouth me after I left, I think he does owe me an apology.”

The 43-year-old won seven Premier League titles, four FA Cups and one Champions League crown under Ferguson in a 12-year spell with the Red Devils.
