Mario Balotelli’s cameo lasted just seven minutes on Sunday, as the experienced Italian was sent-off for lashing out at the referee in Brescia’s 2-2 draw with Cagliari on Sunday.
The former Manchester City striker was sent on to make an impact after 74 minutes, with the Lombardy side pushing for a winner. Eugenio Corini would have been hoping for something more positive, though.
In the 81st minute, Balotelli clattered Fabio Pisacane to earn him a yellow card. He reacted angrily, began swearing and insulting the referee, before being shown an immediate second yellow card.

Brescia battled to hold on in the final nine minutes to secure a point, but a suspension for their star striker and another draw is the last thing they need – with the Serie A side battling relegation.
Balotelli earned his 12th career dismissal, making it five seasons since he last made it through a league campaign without seeing red.
The striker has five goals in 15 games this season, and late last year looked like he would be forcing a move away from his boyhood club.

He has been the target of several racist incidents in Italy this season, stormed out of training after clashing with his manager in November and has reportedly not enjoyed engaging in a relegation fight.
He joined on a free transfer from Marseille only this summer, but Galatasary were reportedly interested in landing the big forward.
However, he has insisted he is ‘committed’ to Brescia and would be staying, but this latest controversial moment is no help in the newly promoted side’s battle.
