Man Utd to settle Pogba with £15m in wages even if he go PSGAugust 2, 2021
Man united is facing a near £15 million pay off if they cut their losses on Paul Pogba this month.
And that could force them into keeping the Former Juventus midfielder for another season – even if it means losing him for nothing in twelve months.
Pogba, 28, is yet to show interest he will sign the £400,000-a-week contract he has been offered, which would automatically make him the highest paid player in the Premier League.
United is demanding up to £60 million if they sell him in this window, yet Paris St Germain are unwilling to pay much more than half the eighty nine million pounds he cost from Juventus five years ago.
But the Red devils would also have to pay up the remaining 12 months of Pogba’s contract if he does leave now, as he has never put in an official transfer request.
And this leaves them in a dilemma over whether to keep him to finish his current contract even though he would be a free agent next summer.
Yet if manchester United, who have spent big in the current transfer window, feel he could make good impact to their Champions League and Premier League hopes they could decide to take the risk.
Manager Ole Gunnar is not giving up on tempting Pogba to sign a new deal and has insisted he remains part of the long-term plan
