Leicester midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp
Premier League champions Leicester City have rejected a £9million bid for Ghanaian Jeffrey Schlupp by West Bromwich Albion, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 23-year-old is a product of Leicester’s youth system and has been a member of the senior team since 2010 – though he did have a spell on loan at Brentford in 2011.
The versatile Schlupp can fill in at fullback, wing, midfield or forward, making him a dream ‘utility player’ for a manager.
And given that he featured in no less than 24 Premier League matches for the Foxes last term, it is little surprise that one of Leicester’s rivals have come calling.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis is believed to be a long-term admirer, but will have to either be more persistent or cough up more money if he is to prise the Ghana international away from the King Power Stadium
