The People’s Elephant defender has charged his teammates to face their Rwandan foes with respect in the Caf Confederation Cup quarter-final
Enyimba’s Ifeanyi Anaemena has warned his teammates that Rayon Sport of Rwanda are not pushovers when they trade tackle in the quarter-final of the Caf Confederation Cup.
The draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football officials in Cairo, Egypt on Monday night placed the People’s Elephant against Rayon Sport.
Despite Enyimba’s perceived superiority over their Rwandan foes, Anaemena reminded his teammates that their next opponents earned their place in the quarter-final and such they must approach the fixture with seriousness.
“I don’t agree with those that feel that we have got a fair draw because Rayon Sports deserved to be where they are and we must respect them for that,” Anaemena told Goal.
“We cannot imagine that we are better than them because of our past record. Things are changing so fast and we must have that in mind in our analysis of Rayon Sport. We need to respect them.

“We must be willing to fight over the cause of the two legs. We need to get all the required information about them and their past matches. We must work harder on our own and take our training very serious too.”
