BREAKING: Ronaldo purchases 51% of La Liga football club side

Nigeria: Former Brazilian striker Ronaldo  De Lima has taken control of Real Valladolid after buying 51% of the La Liga football club’s shares, it was announced on Monday.
At a press conference held in the city’s town hall, the 42-year-old outlined his vision for the club as the majority owner on Monday

“I want everyone to form part of this club and I invite the fans to participate in this project,” Ronaldo said.
“Give us ideas, opinions, criticism and your hopes. I want you to be part of the present and future of Real Valladolid.
“Count on us to consolidate Real Valladolid in the top-flight of Spanish football and then to keep building dreams. With the union between all I am convinced it will be very difficult to beat us.”
“We want to put together the best possible team to compete and clearly inform our management team. There will be a clear message in all our future actions.”
Valladolid president Carlos Suarez said: “Today is a starting point. Ronaldo has personally acquired 51% of Real Valladolid.
“He is an idol that loves and spreads dreams.”
Valladolid football club is a city in northwest Spain and the de facto capital of the autonomous community of Castile and León. It has a population of 309 714 people.
